7 actions you shouldn’t do if you have spondylosis

Spondylosis is a generic term used to describe spine problems, and not a clinical diagnosis. It means pain and degenerative changes of the spine. Spondylosis causes back and neck pain because of paravertebral muscle contractures that irritate the spinal nerves (spinal cord). In such cases acute local inflammation appears, to repair the damaged anatomical structures.

Risk factors and symptoms

There are many factors that cause back pain, not only sitting in the same position for a long time, also improper posture at work or driving, inactivity or excessive work like sports activities without an instructor (eg: sports activities achieved without tutor). Usually the symptoms are back pain, neck pain and lumbar pain.
If a disk hernia causes compression of a nerve, the pain may be located to arms or it may appear tingling, weakness, lack of coordination, difficulty walking or abnormal reflexes. Sometimes dizziness, headache, nausea may install.

What to avoid?

– Sitting in the same position for long periods;
– Cold;
– Lifting weights;
– Physical activity and sports without instructors;
– Weight loss or gain weight;
